AUD Celebrates the Visionaries of ELEVATE 2024: The Airborne Vehicle Design Competition

The American University in Dubai (AUD) proudly announces the winners of ELEVATE 2024 – The Airborne Vehicle Design Competition, a pioneering initiative that has brought together interdisciplinary talent to reimagine the future of transportation. A collaboration between the Center for Research, Innovation, and Design (CRID) and the AUD Entrepreneurship and Innovation Center (AEIC), this competition invited students across all Schools at AUD to propose cutting-edge designs for aerial vehicles that address the transportation challenges of tomorrow while emphasizing sustainability.
With generous sponsorship and support from Majid Al Futtaim (MAF), Caparo, and the Dubai Police, ELEVATE 2024 sought to ignite the creative potential of AUD’s student body by calling for innovative design concepts that marry advanced engineering, environmental consciousness, and urban mobility. The competition served as a testament to the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and nurturing the next generation of problem solvers.
The winning designs stood out among a remarkable array of submissions, reflecting the breadth of imagination and technical acumen within AUD’s community. The top three winners, along with an honorable mention, are:
First Place: Sahar Nami – SKYSCAPE
Second Place: Hanin Daryanavard – AERODROP PATROL
Third Place: Muhammad Yusupov – AEROMATRIX
Honorable Mention: Shahad Alhadid – JETOUR
The finalists were selected following rigorous deliberations by an esteemed jury comprising both industry leaders and academic experts.
